Yesterday was a full on policy day. Today is the same. My office is continuing our policy work despite recently adding on foreign policy and international trade work too. I will be giving a policy briefing tonight to a small closed door crowd, so am finalising my papers.
This posting is to thank Michael and Anne Lim for hosting my officers, interns and I to a wonderful Sichuan CNY lunch. Micheal and Anne are my former constituents from Kelana Jaya, but continues this “tradition” of taking my office to a CNY lunch despite the fact that we have actually moved to another constituency. We deeply appreciate the kind gesture and friendship over the last 7 years from the Lims!
My chief volunteer, Mr Leong also took the officers, interns and I out for a CNY dinner last night too. He clocks in countless hours helping us serve the community and representing me in my abscence, all for free and still took us to makan! Thank you, Mr. Leong!
Yesterday, I also had a few constituents drop by regarding school matters. One or two welfare calls, but generally a quiet day. I guess most of my constituents are still outstation and celebrating CNY.
