Illogical facts

Like the rest of the world, I am also following the US Presidential campaign. I am a Bernie Sanders fan.

This election is full of illogical facts. For instance, the former candidate Bernie is currently more popular than other candidates. In a recent poll, 59% of respondents said they had a favorable opinion of the Vermont Senator – only 41% said the same of Clinton and 38% said the same of Trump.

Another illogical is that the people with money (normally core Republican supporters) are pumping money into Clinton rather than Trump. Clinton has more campaign money than Trump, a whole lot more at USD 42.5 million compared to Trumps’s USD 1.3 million. As a result of the superior finances, Clinton also outnumber Trump in terms of campaign staff by 10 to 1.

While I prefer Clinton over Trump, I am extremely worried that she is securely in the pocket of bankers, corporations and the military industrial complex. She will most definitely pursue the TPPA and we can expect more military ventures. The US will do well to fix their domestic issues like basic social security and its widening income inequality.
