I am at Port Dickson for the PKR leadership retreat. It is a packed house here in our meeting room. Most of the top PKR leaders (MPs, ADUNs, Senators and Central Committee members) are in attendance. Even the standing room is completely packed. A few leaders are absent, with excuses.
Tonight is our first event, and Anwar Ibrahim delivered the opening speech. He reminded party loyalists of the two decades of political struggle. He stressed the need to constantly reform to bring greater democracy and social justice for the people.
Over the course of two days, we will discuss and brain storm on issues such as political reforms, better economics and social justice policies. Dr Mahathir was also present and was invited to deliver a speech to the PKR top leaders. Tomorrow, other Pakatan Harapan leaders will be attending a session with us.
